From where do I even begin? I am writing this when my internship is about to come to an end, having been a fresher who just completed first year of college, I would like to start off by saying a huge thanks to Goibibo for having given me this opportunity to intern with them.
I still remember the night before my first day I was filled with so many mixed emotions, mostly anxiety and excitement, that I could hardly sleep!
Initially, I was sitting outside waiting to be addressed by the HR, I remember looking around curiously.
The HR introduced me to the team I would be working with. I had to work with the flights team.
I was briefed about the working of the flights booking system and the various tools used for its development that I would need to familiarize with.
This internship was my first step into the corporate world it has taught me a lot about how various teams work cumulatively and handle a plethora of tasks.
Throughout my internship I was given various tasks to perform. It was via these tasks that I received the experience of working with various tools used in development. From using in-house tech, to, committing code to Github, debugging my code, adopting to good coding practices, making efficient use of IDE’s and everything that makes an good developer was there to be learned.
I would like to thank my mentors, who did not spoon feed me but helped me whenever it was required.
Things I loved here
- The office timings are flexible and they value the work rather than the timings.
- No specific dress code, so you can wear shorts and slippers if you like :P
- Birthday celebrations that were made here.
- Gaming! Table Tennis, FIFA, Carrom and what not!

The kind of freedom and progressive office work culture here was overwhelming. Now, I will be returning to my college for the start of my second year, and this experience I shall always remember and nurture throughout my career
